MIDI Hymns  
MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is probably the most popular way to play music over the internet.  There are several plug-ins available for you to use with your browser.  If your browser cannot handle MIDI, it will tell you that you need to have a particular plug-in and will help you to find that plug-in.
 
The internet contains a veritable gold mine of hymns that have been computer generated or "sequenced" into MIDI files.  To find them, use your favorite search engine and search for "midi hymns".  Most of these hymns are available for use however you choose without any caveats.  For others, the owning web site wants to be acknowledged wherever their hymns are used.
