Summer Camp Anyone? |
As you start thinking about plans for this summer,
consider sending your child to a camp where they will
not only have fun, but they'll hear about Jesus
Christ. Lutheran Valley Retreat (LVR) is a
summer
youth camp and year-around retreat center (est. 1959)
located on 240 acres at an elevation of 8400' in the
middle of Pike National Forest. LVR offers opportunities
for children, youth, and families to experience Jesus
Christ. LVR is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from
ColoradoSprings, and a 21/2
hour drive from Denver.
LVR's mission is
to provide experiential opportunities in an outdoor
environment for children, youth, families, and their
advocates to know and share Jesus Christ with ALL
people. LVR welcomes churched and unchurched, Lutherans
and non-Lutherans. Our goal is for all who come here to
begin and continue a relationship with Jesus Christ, and
to strengthen them so that they share Jesus with all
people. We also encourage respect of God's creation,
others, and self. LVR is for everyone, without regard to
race, religion, or handicap.

| THE DOUGH IS BACK! |
|
Cookie Dough Available
Soon!
Epiphany teens sold some great cookie dough last
year and we've had lots of requests for more, so...the
dough is back! You may begin placing orders next
week and we'll have it here in plenty of time for May
receptions, picnics and parties. Maybe you'd like
to send some to school for your child's class? Any
active Epiphany teen can take an order and there will be
forms in the back of the worship center, too.
Thank you for your order!

Dear Epiphany Family,
So many pictures...too little space. We will
feature photos from Easter for a few weeks. To see
if it helps those on dial-up internet access, we have
used pictures specifically saved in web format so they
are smaller in size and will hopefully display
quicker.
You have spoken! You have chosen to keep this
eLetter format. The final results of the poll were
Yes-95% and No-5%. Thanks for letting us know what you
want. |
| Testing...Testing...Church Calendar
Online!! |
|
Test drive our new online
calendar of events and let us know what you
think. All events were extracted and
posted to the online calendar as of March 16,
2008. This tool is the tool of choice among church
webservants for it's ease of use, affordability,
Christian slant, and accessibility from any
computer (as well as update capability from any
computer, which is secured). The cost is less
than $5 per month. We are in a 30 day free trial
period and we'll decide at the end whether to continue
or not. A link is available on our website
too. |
| Website/Computer Meeting
Re-Scheduled |
|
What's the Fuss? What is This Costing Us?
Can't We Do This for Free? Who Cares?
The Website/Computer Meeting has
been re-scheduled for Sunday,
April 6th. We are ready to completely
re-design Epiphany's website and discuss the
direction we've embarked on for some of the computer
software and tools we've been test driving lately.
We really want congregational input to know if
you think we are heading in the direction you feel we
should go and are we being good stewards of church
funds, considering we are in the middle of a building
project. Now is the time to speak up!!
If you would like to provide input into the website
re-design process, contact Whizzy Heritage at whizzywyg@comcast.net for a Website
Planning Worksheet that you can fill out and simply
return and/or bring to the meeting.
HELP! If you have access to
a computer projector that we can use for this
meeting, please contact Whizzy at (303)
688-3655.

Scrip Program |
|
There is a new look to the grocery scrip
program. First
- the paper certificates are no longer available
(individuals had been forging them) so now they are the
plastic wallet size cards in $25, $50, or $100
denominations. Second - they are now ONLY usable
at King Soopers (or their affiliates, which are listed
on the back of the card). Shortly we will be
getting ones for Safeway as well. Sorry for the
inconvenience. You may purchase the scrips in
the Epiphany
kitchen. |
| Snacks &
Flowers |
|
 The
snack and flower signup sheets are looking great!
Thank you to those who have signed up to help out.
There are still a few dates to fill. Please check
on the wall at the back of the sanctuary and see if you
are able to serve the Lord in this
ministry. Thank
you! |
| Garage Sale Help
Needed! |
|
|
We will be needing help the week of the
garage sale. Some of the "regular" helpers will be
out of town, so we need to recruit some new helpers to
help price and setup. Several men will be needed,
especially on Friday and Saturday to move any furniture
and heavier items. Please contact Mildred Loughner
at (303) 840-9539, if you can help.

| Disability Awareness Month
|
|
| March is Disability
Awareness Month
Good Shepherd Communities, a ministry of Bethesda
Lutheran Homes and Services, is a wonderful ministry
that seeks to enhance the lives of people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities through
services that share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Good Shepherd has group homes for physically and
mentally challenged individuals. For years now,
Epiphany Lutheran Church has served the Lord by adopting
residents from The Penrose House, one of the Good
Shepherd homes. Look for a special coloring book
for the kids in the back of the church this
weekend. To learn more about Bethesda Lutheran
Homes and Services ministries, visit http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=rkerdlcab.0.0.duxkdjcab.0&ts=S0334&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blhs.org%2F&id=preview. | | |
