Youth Servant Event
Habitat for Humanity From July 20-26 our teens are invited to be part of a very special event-putting their faith into action in California. We'll stay at a Lutheran camp near San Jose, work on a house for Habitat for Humanity and do some beach clean-up too. This is the final week to register! Summer Camp Anyone?

As you start thinking about plans for this summer, consider sending your child to a camp where they will not only have fun, but they'll hear about Jesus Christ. Lutheran Valley Retreat (LVR) is a

summer youth camp and year-around retreat center (est. 1959) located on 240 acres at an elevation of 8400' in the middle of Pike National Forest. LVR offers opportunities for children, youth, and families to experience Jesus Christ. LVR is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from ColoradoSprings, and a 21/2 hour drive from Denver. LVR's mission is to provide experiential opportunities in an outdoor environment for children, youth, families, and their advocates to know and share Jesus Christ with ALL people. LVR welcomes churched and unchurched, Lutherans and non-Lutherans. Our goal is for all who come here to begin and continue a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to strengthen them so that they share Jesus with all people. We also encourage respect of God's creation, others, and self. LVR is for everyone, without regard to race, religion, or handicap.

Lenten Series - The Body of Christ

Our Lenten theme for this year is entitled, The Body Of Christ

as we take the time to consider seriously the parts of our Lord's human body which He used to earn our salvation and the meaning for our lives as Christians living in the The Body Of Christ . We will focus our attention on the:

Feet of Christ - To lead the way
Hands of Christ - To help and heal
Mouth of Christ - To speak God's Word
Ears of Christ - To hear our prayers
Eyes of Christ - To see our needs
Heart of Christ - To show God's love

If you would like to have an announcement in the weekly eLetter, weekly bulletin, or the monthly eNewsletter, please contact Nancy in the office at (303) 688-4435 or send them to Nancy via email to the office at(office@epiphanylc.org) by the following deadlines:

eLetter - Due by noon on Tuesday of that week
Bulletin - Due by noon on Wednesday of that week
eNewsletter - Due by the 3^rd Monday for the next month

Worship Duty Assignments

If you have worship duty assignment information (elders, ushers, lectors, greeters, information center, nursery, or acolytes), please send 2 months worth of assignments to Nancy in the office by the 3rd Monday of each month so that we can print two months worth of information in our monthly eNewsletter.

LWML Scrip Program

There is a new look to the grocery scrip program. Scrip

First - the paper certificates are no longer available (individuals had been forging them) so now they are the plastic wallet size cards in $25, $50, or $100 denominations. Second - they are now ONLY usable at King Soopers (or their affiliates, which are listed on the back of the card). Shortly we will be getting ones for Safeway as well. Sorry for the inconvenience. You may purchase the scrips in the Epiphany kitchen.

What is Scrip?

Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for various needs in our church.

We Need Your Help!
Snacks & Flowers Please take a moment to check out the snack and flower sign-up sheets on the wall, next to the Information Center, in the back of the sanctuary. Pick a date and sign up! This is an easy way to serve the Lord and ... we need your help!

8th Annual CLHSA Auction
Under the Big Top is the theme for the 8th annual benefit auction for the Colorado Lutheran High School Association. Be a part of the exciting ministry going on at the Lutheran High Schools. Come enjoy a night of good food, Big Top entertainment, and fun fellowship on Sunday, March 9. You may purchase tickets and/or donate gift items through the LHS Association office at (303) 934-8611.

Placement Testing

Lutheran High Schools

Planning to attend one of our Lutheran High Schools? Placement tests are required for all incoming 9^th graders. This test is used to help determine what classes each student should take in 9^th grade and is used for placement purposes only. The cost for the test is $20. Please mark your calendars and call our Admissions Director, Abbie Duitsman at 1-888-578-2784 to register for the date that fits your schedule:

Denver: Saturday, March 1^st 8:30am-Noon

Monday, March 3^rd 4:00pm-7:30pm

Monday, June 9^th 8:30am-Noon

Parker: Saturday, February 23^rd 9:00am-Noon

Tuesday, February 26^th 4:00pm-7:00pm

Saturday, March 8^th 9:00am-11:30am

Open House

Denver Lutheran: Every Friday afternoon is an Open House at Denver Lutheran High School. Stop in unannounced between noon and 3pm and receive information and a tour of our school.

Lutheran Parker: Stop into the school office anytime during school hours for a tour of the school and an opportunity to meet with teachers and the principal. Or join us on Saturday, February 23rd from 9:00am-Noon.

Upcoming Opportunities for Growth

New Classes to Begin Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

Beginning Sunday, March 2nd, Pastor Mark will be leading an 8-week "ADULT INFORMATION" Class during the Sunday School and Bible Class Hour: 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the Modular West building. This will be an opportunity for interested guests and visitors to begin the process for membership here at Epiphany Lutheran as well as to have current memebers review the basic teachings of the Lutheran faith!

Also beginning March 2nd, Tim Hutchison will be leading a class on "Witnessing to Other Cultures and Religions" from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please make your plans to attend one of these Bible Classes!

... FROM THE TASK FORCE The Douglas/Elbert County Task Force would like to thank Epiphany for their gift of $57.37 and 44 non-perishable food items through the Souperbowl of Caring event. This gift allowed the Task Force to purchase 287 pounds of food for their food bank at a time when it was greatly needed. Your generosity is appreciated!
